Anca Vasile was born in Romania in 1979., she began to study the violin at the age of four in her native city Tulcea.

She then joined the High school of music “George Enescu” in Bucarest, where she graduated, and she concluded the studies at the Bucarest Music University with full marks and a special mention to attend a Master Course where she also learned to play the viola and the Baroque violin.

 

At the age of five she won the first prize at a regional contest, at the age of eleven she moved for a tournée in France , at twelve she performed at the Stresa ( Italy ) contest and she won the first prize of her category, at thirteen the second prize at the National Olympiad of music in Romania . The following year she returned to Stresa and won the first Absolute prize of Category, and then she won eight national prizes and several recognitions worldwide.

Subsequently she performed in several international competitions like:  Katrineholm in Sweden (2004), Manchester in England (2005), Queen Elisabeth in Bruxelles ,   Belgium (2005), George Enescu in Bucarest , Romania (2005), Violin Masters of Montecarlo (2007).

 

She joined various master classes, such as Bergen (Holland) with Mark Lubovsky (2004), Bucarest with Yvry Gitlis (2004), Bergen with Anatoly Resnikovsky and Rudolf Koelman (2005), Manchester with Yuri Torcinsky (2005), Bruxelles with Kim Nam-Num (2005), Brescia with Nabuico Aseada (2006), Roma with Domenico Nordio (2007).

In her career she has been taught by prestigious violin Masters in Romania like Octavian Ratiu, Ion Voicu and Stefan Gheorghiu.

She has also followed “acting” courses that led to her participation to theatre shows where music is the leading actor.

For four years she played as first violin in the quartet "Arpeggione" (one of the most prestigious quartets of Bucarest) with which she won the first prize and the special prize of the jury to the national competition  L. Van Beethoven.  

She has been member of the “Ensemblè Collegio Stravagante” of Baroque music that carried her to the international festival of Tagliacozzo (Rome 2005).

She has played as soloist with the orchestra of the High school G. Enescu, Orchestra " Academy of Music ", Brass Orchestra of Bucarest, University Orchestra of Bucarest, Filarmonica of Galati.   

She has performed different Tournées and she performed in several events in Romania , Holland , France , Switzerland , Sweden , Russia , Moldova , Italy , Denmark , Germany , Operà of Montecarlo.

 

Anca plays a violin granted by the lutemaker Fasser in Brescia and she uses arcs supplied by the Master "Lucchi" in Cremona .
